Jake Tapper Brings Receipts After Greg Bovino Dares Him to Call Out His Deposition Lies

Tapper suggested Bovino was a known liar, retweeting a judge’s November ruling regarding Bovino’s tactics in Chicago. “’Bovino admitted to lying multiple times in his statement,’ the judge wrote.”
In response to Bovino: challenged Tapper – writes: “So define lie, Jake. No one can seem to find this mysterious ‘lie’.”
“I’d be happy to help, sir,” Tapper replied, before presenting more court documents.
“Bovino admitted in his statement that he lied multiple times about the events that occurred in Little Village that led him to throw tear gas at protesters,” the court document said. “’Bovino and DHS testified that a rock hit Bovino’s helmet before he fired tear gas. …On the first day of testimony, ‘Bovino admitted that he was not hit with a rock until after he used tear gas…’”
Tapper added 11 more posts revealing examples of how Bovino repeatedly lied when describing his interactions with protesters.
In the last post, Tapper linked to court documents and wrote: “This is from the Judge’s 233-page opinion dated November 20, 2025. Sara Ellis. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.”
In addition to feuding with Tapper online, Bovino spent Sunday going after the likes of Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and The Bulwark’s Bill Kristol.
