Jake Tapper Cracks Up at Cop Who Testified, ‘I Don’t Know,’ When Asked if His Wife Was Cheating on Him
CNNs Jake Tapper He had a good laugh Thursday after watching a police officer testify in court that he wasn’t sure if his wife was cheating on him.
A jury in Ohio on Wednesday reigned The defamation lawsuit filed by police officers against the Adams County Sheriff’s Office was ruled in favor of Afroman, the rapper behind the 2000 hit song “Because I Got Headed.”
Tapper He covered the story in Thursday’s issue LeadAfroman’s most famous song “was very successful then. It is very successful now.”
In 2022, Adams County police executed a search warrant at the home of Afroman, real name. Joseph Foreman. Police were allegedly looking for signs of drug trafficking and kidnapping, but no such evidence was found. In response, Foreman recorded an album named after the incident. Lemon Cakefeaturing songs titled “Police Raid”, “Why Are You Disconnecting My Video Camera”, and “Will You Help Me Fix My Door”, among other tracks.
“They couldn’t find a kidnapping victim,” Afroman sings in one of the songs. “Just some lemon cake.”
“Lemon cake,” Tapper repeated. “Believe it or not, the police officers who broke into Afroman’s house after listening to many of the songs he wrote at his own expense lawsuit filed “A lawsuit was filed against Afroman for defamation in 2023.”
Tapper then played a video of one of the police officers testifying at the hearing:
COUNSELOR: Does it portray you in a false light?
OFFICER: Yes, my wife is cheating on me with Mr. Foreman.
COUNSELOR: But we all know that’s not true, right?
OFFICIAL: I don’t know.

COUNSELOR: Wait a minute, you don’t know if your wife is cheating on you?
Tapper wheezed and invited Afroman to join the show.
“Mr. Foreman, how do you feel after this jury’s decision?” the host asked.
“Cheerful,” Afroman replied. “I feel great. I feel really good, I feel good. I’m happy that free speech and common sense are still around.”
