Jana Nayagan’s January Release Is Almost Ruled Out

The next hearing for orders in the Jana Nayagan case will take place on January 27. Since the courts are closed for Republic Day on January 26 and no listing was made at the beginning of the week, an early hearing is out of the question.
This effectively rules out any January release, shifting hopes to a possible February 2026 release. That is, only if the court makes a positive decision soon.
The producers (KVN Productions) removed the scenes that the censorship board objected to. KVN Productions’ senior lawyer Sathish Parasaran recently told the court: “The board now wants to re-introduce the deleted scenes, present the film as it was before and then delete the same scenes. This is a futile exercise.”
Jana Nayagan is directed by H Vinoth and stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles.
