Bindi Irwin, Robert pay heartfelt tribute to Steve Irwin on 64th birthday

Bindi Irwin and her younger brother Robert pay tribute to their father Steve Irwin at a memorial service on what would have been his 64th birthday.
On Saturday, the brothers took to social media to share birthday wishes for the wildlife conservationist who died nearly two decades ago.
“Happy birthday dad. We miss you so much,” Bindi wrote. instagramnext to a carousel of nostalgic photos. “Grace is so proud to tell everyone that Grandpa Crocodile is her guardian angel. I love you. Forever.”

“Today was supposed to be your birthday. I love you, I miss you… thank you for being a guiding light and inspiration every day,” Robert wrote on his own Instagram account.

Fans flooded the comments section with words of encouragement.
“So much of what we love about your father lives on in you,” one person wrote on Robert’s post. “I have no doubt that you are incredibly proud of the man you have become! You are an amazing role model!”

Another commented on Bindi’s post: “She was such an amazing person and her passion for wildlife and love for her family shines through you all.”

Steve… famously known as the “Crocodile Hunter” – He died after being stung by a stingray in the Great Barrier Reef in 2006, while filming the documentary series “Ocean’s Deadliest”. Robert was 2 when he died, and his sister Bindi, who won Season 21 of “DWTS” with her partner Derek Hough, was 8. He and his wife, Terri, were married for 14 years before his death.

I didn’t think I would make it this far because I didn’t realize America could be so incredibly supportive,” he said. “It’s impossible to put into words how much this means to me because what I represent is so much more than a dance.”

“When I step into the ballroom, I represent my father’s legacy [Steve Irwin] We created it together with my mother. “I represent everything I stand for, not only as a wildlife conservationist, but also as someone who works really hard to spread some positivity and passion,” she continued. “I want to be a role model for young people.”

“The fact that America invites us every weekend means that what I stand for is being heard, and that’s incredible,” he added. “I’m so grateful. All the challenges in the rehearsal studio, learning each new dance, were worth it when I heard how a dance resonated with the people you know…Being able to open my heart and soul to America was scary but the best experience ever because everyone was with me on this journey and I feel like I’ve gained a whole new family here.”
