In the TikTok clip, shot at the Naval Observatory building, Vance, dressed in a dark suit and red tie, smiles as he opens the door and tells trick-or-treaters: “Happy Halloween, kids… remember, say thank you!” This line is a playful callback to the “you didn’t say thank you” meme, before spinning under purple lights and returning to the spooky Twilight Zone theme.
The 41-year-old vice president’s video garnered more than 250,000 likes and 14 million views within hours; This was an extraordinary number for a political post and received thousands of comments. on InstagramX and Facebook.

Even some critics praised it. One commenter on X said: “He did it meme hahaha.” Users quickly remixed the Halloween look with the original meme, adding quick cuts and effects as it spread across platforms.
