Women’s panel chief flags lapses in sexual harassment inquiry at Ayurvedic college

Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairman Rayapati Sailaja visited Nori Rama Sastry Government Ayurveda College in Vijayawada on Wednesday following a complaint received via email alleging sexual harassment of female students by faculty members.

Ms. Sailaja interacted with students and faculty members individually to ascertain the facts. Speaking to the media later, she said a student had written to the Commission alleging sexual harassment and pointed out that the inquiry conducted by the college management was not carried out properly.
