JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results declared: How to download scorecard at jeemain.nta.nic.in, direct link, dropped questions

The National Testing Agency announced the Session 1 results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main on February 16. The results were prepared based on the final answer key published by the institution.

All candidates appearing in relevant shifts will be awarded full marks for the nine questions left in more than one shift. The agency also stated that cut-off scores will be published along with the results.

JEE Main 2026 1st Session result announcement:

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam was conducted in computer-based mode in two-day shifts from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm from January 21 to 29. After the objection window was closed on February 6 and the objections were examined, the final answer key, which formed the basis of the results, was published.

NTA stated that any requests for re-evaluation or score verification after the results are announced will not be taken into consideration and will not correspond on these issues. The results of candidates who are found to have used unfair means during the exam will be cancelled.

  • Visit the official JEE Main results portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on JEE(Main)-2026 Final Answer Keys. [Session-I] [Paper-I (B.E. / B.Tech)]Click on the link under the ‘Latest News’ section.
  • Enter the application number and password on the login page.
  • Submit details to see the result.
  • Download and save the scorecard for future reference.

How to download JEE Main 2026 scorecard

Candidates who log in to the candidate portal with their application number and password can view their score cards on the screen. The scorecard must be downloaded and saved for admission and counseling purposes.
NTA removes nine questions from JEE Main 2026 final answer key, bonus points will be awarded
The National Testing Agency has removed a total of nine questions from the latest JEE Main 2026 answer key published on jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to the revised key, all candidates will receive a bonus of four marks for each question dropped, regardless of whether they attempt or not. Candidates will only be eligible to receive bonus points for questions dropped from their shift.

With the announcement of the final answer key, the results of the 1st Session were also announced. Candidates are advised to have their application numbers and passwords ready to access their scorecards.
