Jeffrey Epstein made numerous harsh statements about Donald Trump, including casting doubt on his mental acuity, according to documents released Wednesday by the House Oversight Committee.

Republican committee members gained access to nearly 20,000 pages of materials obtained from Epstein’s estate. The disclosure came after Democrats on the committee shared correspondence between Epstein and his longtime accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee shared a link to the transcript on she wrote, “You deserve the whole truth.”

Epstein, who has met Trump before, referred to the current president multiple times in the newly released documents. The disgraced sex offender spoke disparagingly about Trump and even slandered his mental abilities, describing him as “borderline insane.”

The materials reveal that the men’s friendship deteriorated significantly as Trump’s political ambitions began to develop.

Shortly after Trump’s first swearing-in in January 2017, another email exchange between Epstein and a New York Times journalist mentioned Trump in reference to the then-controversial “Muslim ban,” CNN reported.

Relationship broke down

“It helps because he is seen to have kept his promise, which is important for Putin and North Korea. As you can see, North Korea did not fire the missile there, which they promised would not happen.” [Former President Barack Obama] he never managed to do that,” Epstein wrote.

“Donald is said to be crazy, I told you that,” he added.

In 2018, Epstein questioned whether Trump was showing signs of “early dementia,” citing Michael Wolff’s book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.

Wolff has written several books about Trump’s presidencies.

A New York Times journalist told Epstein that Trump was “looking/sounding increasingly unstable,” to which Epstein responded: “There is no question that Donald’s statement is stupid… early dementia? [sic]”.

Trump insulted

In December 2018, Epstein insulted Trump while texting former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, writing, “Trump – borderline crazy.”

In another meeting the same month, Epstein once again branded Trump “borderline insane.”

This time, Epstein claimed that his statement was “corroborated by some of his relatives.”

Democrats release emails between Epstein and his accomplice.

Before Republicans released massive files on the Epstein estate, Democrats on the Oversight Committee uncovered emails between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for child trafficking.

In the cable, Epstein alleges that Trump spent considerable time with a victim at Epstein’s home.

Democrats’ ‘fake smears’

Democrats on the committee arranged for the name to be redacted; yet the victim was later revealed to be Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most outspoken accusers.

Epstein claimed Trump was kicked out of his Mar-a-Lago resort, saying, “Trump said he wanted me to resign, he was never a member…of course he knew about the girls when he asked Ghislaine to stop.” [sic]”.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed the emails were “selectively linked” to liberal media “in an attempt to create a false narrative to smear President Trump.”

“The ‘anonymous victim’ mentioned in these emails is the late Virginia Giuffre, who repeatedly said that President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing and that he ‘couldn’t have been friendlier’ to her in their limited interactions.”

“The fact remains that decades ago President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club for intimidating his female employees, including Giuffre,” Leavitt said. he added.

“These stories are nothing more than malicious efforts to distract from President Trump’s historic accomplishments, and any American with common sense can see through this deception and a clear distraction from reopening the government.”

Tragic Giuffre’s decision

Republicans on the committee also released a statement: “Why did Democrats suppress the name when the House did not redact redacted documents submitted to the committee?

“Because this victim, Virginia Giuffre, has publicly stated that she has never witnessed any wrongdoing by President Trump. Democrats are trying to create a false narrative to smear President Trump. Shame on you.”

In a 2016 deposition, Giuffre said she did not believe Trump was aware of any allegations of sexual abuse of minors at Epstein’s home. “I don’t think so Donald Trump “I participated in everything,” he said in 2024, according to documents unsealed.

“That must be another assumption. I never saw or witnessed Donald Trump participating in these actions, but was he at Jeffrey Epstein’s house? I heard he was, but I didn’t see him myself, so I don’t know.”

Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing in the Epstein case, has not been charged with any crime by law enforcement, and has never been identified as the subject of any investigation.
