Jen Psaki faces backlash for comments about JD Vance’s wife Usha

MSNBC host Jen Psaki was slammed Tuesday for her “disgusting” comments suggesting Vice President J.D. Vance’s wife, Usha, was afraid of him.
Psaki made the following statements:I lived toopodcast in which he and the hosts expressed concern about Vance being a member of the Trump administration.
He suggested that Vance is “scarier” in some ways than President Donald Trump and that Usha Vance may feel similarly.

“I think the little Manchurian candidate, J.D. Vance, wants to be president more than anything,” Psaki said. “I always wondered what was going through his wife’s mind. Like, are you okay? Please blink four times. We’ll come here. We’ll save you.”
He continued, “And he’s willing to do anything to get to that point. And your whole iteration that you just outlined, I mean, he’s scarier in some ways. And he’s young and ambitious and agile in the sense that he’s a chameleon who does what he thinks the audience wants to hear from him.”
The description of the podcast episode also referenced this joke: “Usha Vance, if you need help, please blink twice.”

Several X users called Psaki’s comments “disgusting” and “vile” for mocking Vance’s marriage and suggesting someone was “worse than Hitler” than Trump.
“He’s not a good person. Absolutely,” said Fox News contributor Joe Concha.

Townhall.com writer Amy Curtis commented, “Also, this is absolutely despicable. Usha Vance is happily married. She made a vow to JD, and those words mean something. It’s also an insult to women in bad marriages.”
