Jennifer Lawrence thought she would die in emergency private plane landing

Jennifer Lawrence said she almost died during a private flight from her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, to New York City in 2017.
The actor reminded that even the pilots believed that they would die if two of the plane’s engines failed in the air and were forced to make an emergency landing.
“One of the engines broke down, then we were making an emergency landing because we only had one engine,” the “Die My Love” star said.Las Culture Experts” podcast.

“I was flying with a family friend and he was really strong, like he was my man. Then he tried to make me laugh and said: ‘You know everything’s okay because you can still hear the other engine.’
“‘It’s like if the plane goes silent, we die, too,'” he continued. “And as soon as he said that, I knew it was going to happen.”

Lawrence described the terrifying moment when everyone, including his friend, realized both engines had failed.
“He knew we were going to die,” the “Silver Linings Playbook” star told the podcast hosts. “I mean, the pilots knew we were going to die. It was like the whole cockpit was on fire – lights, sirens. The pilots were crying.
“We were just going to die,” he added. “And I had my little dog, Pippi, on my lap, and I felt so bad for her because she didn’t accept it.

“Then we started getting closer and closer, and I was trying to leave voicemails for my friends and family. ‘I had such a great life, don’t worry. Don’t mention this and that and that in your conversation,'” she said on the podcast.
The pilots diverted the plane to Buffalo to make an emergency landing.
“And then, as we start to get closer, I see a runway and I think, ‘Wow, maybe…’ And then I see fire trucks and stuff. I’m like, ‘Maybe we’re going to crash.’ Then it took off again and it just kind of caught the wind for a second and then it bounced back and just kind of went like that,” Lawrence explained, moving her hands up and down.
“Then the firefighters broke down the door and we all started hugging and crying.”
Lawrence previously revealed the plane horror of 2021.
“I know, I’m flying private, I deserve to die,” he joked Vanity Fair In that case.

“We were all going to die,” Lawrence told Vanity Fair, recalling the moment he learned that both engines had failed. “I started mentally leaving little voice messages to my family saying, ‘I had a great life, I’m sorry.’”
The “Hunger Games” star told the magazine how she spent her possible final moments.
“I started praying, not to the God I grew up with because he was a terrible and very judgmental man.
“But I thought, ‘Oh God, maybe we can survive this? I’m going to be a burn victim, it’s going to be painful, but maybe we’ll live. Please God, let me hold my hair. Wrap me in your hair-loving arms. Please don’t let me go bald.'”

Lawrence has maintained his flying anxiety ever since, explaining that he is still afraid all these years later.
He was accepted into Vanity Fair. “This made me very weak.”
“Flying is a scary thing and I have to do it all the time,” Lawrence added.
