Jerusalem protesters converge on PM Netanyahu’s residence

The protesters who supported hostages went to the streets of Jerusalem and marched towards Prime Minister Netanyahu’s residence to express their anger on the Gaza city.

Former soldier Max Kresch walked, holding a sign that says “I rejected”.

“We are 350 soldiers who worked during the war and refused to continue to serve in the political war of Netanyahu,” Emir Nader from the BBC. He said.

There were protests in Israel in cities like Haifa. Thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv.

Israel’s decision to expand its war in Gaza led to condemnation from the UN and many countries, including the UN, Britain, France and Canada, and encouraged Germany to stop military exports to Israel.

The plan approved by the Israeli Security Cabinet lists five “principles” to end the war: disarming Hamas, taking back all the hostages, limiting the Gaza Strip, taking security control of the region, and “establishing an alternative civilian administration without Hamas or Palestinian authority”.
