Jessie Buckley, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Marisa Tomei turned heads in luxurious looks while attending the Manhattan premiere of The Bride on Tuesday.
Buckley and Gyllenhaal were truly ladies of the hour; They co-hosted the $80 million-budget film festival of their gothic romance in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theatre.
The 36-year-old Irish actress wore a striking teal-polka dot petal skirt and black turtleneck top with ostrich feather trim from her presentation at Chanel’s Métiers d’Art show last December.
Relying on stylist Danielle Goldberg, Buckley had her short bob styled by hairstylist Irinel de León and minimal makeup by Yukari Obayashi Bush.
The two-time Oscar nominee pulls off triple duty, portraying murdered woman Ida, The Bride and Frankenstein author Mary Shelley in the 126-minute film, which opens in US/UK cinemas this Friday.
As for the 48-year-old filmmaker, her flashy, bejeweled puffy shoulders in her black dress match her drop diamond earrings and bracelet.

Columbia University graduate, Warner Bros. Following early test screenings at Pictures, he announced that he “wanted to take some of the violence out” in his second directorial work.
“So what you see is even a little bit of a step back from the beginning in the movie,” Gyllenhaal told the New York Times last Saturday.
‘If we’re going to see [sexual violence]We have to see this in a way that’s very hard to watch because it’s so awful. And if you know anything about me, if you’ve looked at any of my work, even starting with Secretary when I was 22, that’s something I spent a lot of time thinking about. I’m sure I’ve been very thoughtful about this, but it’s still going to be hard to watch. I think we can have this.’
The Bride marked Gyllenhaal’s first time directing his younger brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, who played a wealthy character named Ronnie Reed in the revisionist take on James Whale’s 1935 sequel Bride of Frankenstein.
The famous siblings, whose parents are director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner, had a cute interaction on the red carpet.
