‘Jesus, Take the Wheel’ songwriter dies in plane crash in North Carolina

Getty ImagesGrammy award -winning songwriter Brett James died in a plane crash in North Carolina, known for writing the best 2005 hit song Jesus Take The Wheel together.
57 -year -old James, “under unknown conditions in a forested area” fell when a single -engine Cirrus SR22T was one of three people.
Authorities, all three passengers were killed in an accident near Macon County Airport, he said. Flight monitoring data shows that the aircraft departs from an airport in Nashville.
James received the Grammy Award for the Best country song for Jesus, recorded by Carrie Underwood, for Take The Wheel. Reacting to the news, Underwood described his death as “not only understandable”.
The song, which was nominated for the song of the year, was a decisive hit of both careers.
Underwood, “Brett ‘cool’ was a summary.” He said. “My favorite songs to sing are the songs we wrote about Jesus because the thoughts and emotions behind him are very real and pure. I will never sing a note without thinking about him.
James also wrote songs for various artists such as Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi and Jason Aldean. Aldean recorded the truth written by James, his “heart broken”, he said.
“I had nothing but my love and respect for that man, and he helped to change my life. He was honored to meet and work with him. Thoughts and prayers are going to his family.” He said.

“Great Hitler wrote, but he had a bigger heart.” He said.
In 2020, James entered the Nashville Song Writers Honor List and won the Song Writer of the Year in 2006 and 2010.
The National Transportation Security Council, which investigates air accidents, will lead to an investigation.
