‘I hope you will all join me on this journey as I truly open up, say goodbye to the past, and enter this new chapter in my life. I hope you love it as much as we do.’

Last weekend Jesy shared a clip of one of her twin daughters with a feeding tube after revealing her muscle weakness diagnosis.

In the clip, Jesy coos to her daughter, who squeals and laughs while swaddled in her baby bouncer chair. Her daughters have feeding tubes in their noses to help clear their breasts.

Alongside her post, the pop star wrote: ‘I’m so in love with her little smile.’

Last Wednesday Jesy broke down in tears as she shared a heartbreaking update about their situation on This Morning

Sharing the most difficult aspects of the diagnosis, she admitted her home now ‘looks like a hospital’ after learning how to care for her twins and meet their complex needs.

Jesy, who was emotional about her daughters, said: ‘We were told they would probably never walk, they would probably never regain their neck strength. They will be confined to a wheelchair.

‘There have been so many stories where parents have been told this and their children have gone on to do incredible things, so I believe you need to put that out there.

‘They’re still smiling, they’re still happy. They have each other and that’s like the thing I’m most grateful for because they can do it on their own but they’re twins and they’re going through it together.

‘My whole life has completely changed. If you came to my house, it would look like a hospital.

‘My whole hallway is full of medical supplies and it’s really crazy how you can go from one extreme to the other.

‘The story has to be on a breathing machine at night because he’s not strong enough to breathe on his own at night, they need to have cough assist machines to help them cough, I have to put feeding tubes up their nose to flush out the secretions in their chest.

‘I had to learn this within days of being diagnosed and it’s a lot to deal with while you’re also trying to cope with this terrible thing that’s just happened and still remaining a mother.

‘That’s the part really, I still struggle with it, I’m not going to lie, but that’s the part that really gets me, I just want to be their mother, I don’t want to be a nurse.

‘All I can do is try my best to be there for them. Give them positive energy.’
