Jetstar drops massive domestic and international ‘Fare Play’ sale with flights starting at $39

Jetstar announced that it made big discounts on 280,000 tickets, with prices starting from $39 for domestic flights and $149 for international flights.

On Monday, the Australian airline is launching its ‘Fare Play’ sale, with domestic one-way flights from Sydney to Ballina Byron starting at $39 and Adelaide to Melbourne (Avalon) starting at $42.

Gold Coast residents can travel to Sydney for $55, while those living in Melbourne can escape to Darwin for $164.

Alongside the sale, Jetstar will also introduce new international routes from Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast to Bali from March, and flights from Melbourne to Colombo in Sri Lanka from August 2026.

Domestic flights are not the only fare on sale; Jetstar offers flights from Perth to Manila in the Philippines starting at $215 and Melbourne to Colombo from $319.

Sydney residents can fly to Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City for $199, while those living on the Gold Coast can fly to Bali for $215.

Although travel dates vary by route, discounted one-way flights operate from mid-March to mid-November and do not include checked bags.

The sale will start at noon on Tuesday, February 24th and will continue until midnight on Friday, February 27th, unless it sells out in advance.

Club Jetstar members will be able to access this discount starting at noon on Monday.

Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully said the airline is expanding services for those looking to get away.

“Our ongoing investments in our fleet, including our Boeing 787 replacement program and our pipeline of new Airbus A320neo and A321LR aircraft, mean our customers will continue to have lower-priced seats and more choice in flight modes,” he said.

“Starting at just $39, our network-wide sales give more people the opportunity to fly more for less.”
