A young skier seriously injured at the Vorlage Center
(Montreal) A young skier was in critical condition Wednesday evening after an accident that occurred in the afternoon at the Vorlage Center, in Outaouais.

The accident happened around 2:10 p.m. at the ski resort located in the Wakefield sector, in La Pêche, the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais Police Department indicated in a Facebook publication.
Authorities said the minor was seriously injured and transported to the area hospital, before being transferred to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
According to initial information, the incident occurred when the victim “was preparing to get off the chairlift,” the police mentioned in their publication.
The Vorlage Center specified in a press release later in the evening that the first responders had intervened at the landing stage of ski lift B.
The ski resort said the girl was visiting the area as part of a school trip.
The infrastructures were closed for the evening for the purposes of the investigation. The Vorlage Center added in a message on its Facebook account that it would not open its doors on Thursday.
