Hope speaks a universal language; fight for dignity, democracy same: Rahul in Colombia

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is currently in a four -national tour of Latin America, said that Hope is a universal language and the struggle for dignity and democracy is one and the same.

Mr. Gandhi shared the pictures of his visit to Colombia and his interaction with the students there on Youtube.

“This journey on South America is full of warmth, joy and ideas from the live streets in the Comunas of Colombia and the classes of Medellin, Lima and Peru to heartfelt conversations.

“I met the artists who use colors as resistance and the students who dreamed of fearlessly. Creativity and courage souls were really inspiring,” he said.

“He reminded that Hope speaks a universal language at every step and that our struggle for honor and democracy on the continents was one and the same.” He said.

Mr. Gandhi, Latin American countries for more than a week in a visit to Colombia, Brazil, Peru and Chile.

The opposition leader in Lok Sabha is expected to interact with political leaders, students and businessmen during his visit.

The party said it would organize meetings with president and senior leaders in more than one country by strengthening democratic and strategic ties.

Mr. Gandhi will interact with business leaders to discover opportunities while trying to diversify trade and partnerships after India tariffs.

Brazil will interact with Colombia and university students beyond and develop dialogue with new generation global leaders.

He added that the Congress has been shared for a long time through the historical resonance, and that India and South America have been shared for a long time through the incompatible movement, solidarity of solidarity in the global South and a multipolar world order.
