Jonty Rhodes takes the pitch to a new arena with debut on Indian TV

Jonty Rhodes appeared alongside UpUrFit co-founders Munish Vig and Vikram Gunjal to introduce the fitness wellness brand to the Titans, a panel of investors seeking funding and mentorship. This marks a new role for Rhodes on Indian television, where he is often associated with cricket and coaching.
“Promoting Ideabaaz was a completely new game for me. I’m usually the one diving in to capture investors’ attention rather than attract it. It was exciting to share UpUrFit’s vision on a platform that celebrates innovation and passion. As an athlete and entrepreneur, I’ve always believed in real and relatable fitness, and that’s exactly what UpUrFit stands for,” said Jonty Rhodes.
Founded by Munish Vig and Vikram Gunjal, UpUrFit focuses on the needs of India’s expanding fitness and sports community. When Rhodes endorses the brand, it markets performance, recovery and hygiene products made using clean ingredients with proven effectiveness. The company, which started operations in 2023, positions itself as a pioneer in India’s $40 billion sports wellness market. Its basic idea is to provide professional level recovery tools to ordinary athletes.
The company is currently raising $0.5 million, with half of that round already subscribed. Investors include IIM Kolkata syndicate, larger investors and industry names.
As of October, the brand reported generating revenue of Rs 4 million on an annual basis, a 50% increase over the previous quarter.
