JSW MG Motor hits $1 billion in revenue in under 6 years, but losses surge

JSW MG Motor, a joint venture between JSW Group and China’s SAIC Motor completed in 2024, has emerged as one of the fastest automakers to enter the $1 billion revenue club, reaching the milestone in almost half the time it took its European rival Renault to achieve in India. MG Motor India, then a wholly owned subsidiary of SAIC, launched its first car in the country, the MG Hector SUV, in June 2019.
