The defendant said in his evidence that he grew up in the three-acre property in Kurtulburra in 2017-2018, as well as local botanical gardens and railway Trail. Some were renewed, but one was worried, told the jury, and he would wander in Facebook messages as part of the mushroom research.
“He finally said he started to consume them, Beale Beale said on charges of the jury.
In the evidence of Patterson, the jury said he was confident enough to fry some mushrooms in butter and put them in their children’s food, after chopping them in a small enough way because his son and daughter could not notice them.

Beale said Patterson took a dryer when he moved to Leongatha in his evidence and sent his photos to Facebook. Later, he left the mushrooms selected from local botanical gardens dehydrated, but they did not come well.
The judge was a “experiment” before saying that Patterson went to dry and eating other mushrooms as he grew up safely.
He claimed that he did not choose anything from oak trees in the Botanic Gardens, but he chose them from the three trees there.
In May and June 2023, Patterson said that there was a tupperware container with different dried mushrooms.
Beale said Patterson later bought mushrooms from the Leongatha property and led to a deadly lunch, but rejected the search for toxic mushrooms.
However, during his proof, he acknowledged that he had lied to others about calling food after lunch.
When the police called the house, the judge said to the jury, Patterson agreed that the police could not find any books about mushrooms, but some books were in the unopened garage.
Beale Jury said: iz If you notice that there is a tendency to collect and eat wild mushrooms, including putting it in the meals it serves to others, or if you think it is a reasonable possibility to have this tendency, you may think that death cover mushrooms are concluded with beef.
