Justin Bieber says faith helps him forgive music industry

Justin Bieber is reflecting on his faith in Jesus this holiday season.
Taking to her Instagram account ahead of Christmas, the singer expressed how lost she felt when she was once on her way to fame in the music industry.
“Christmas time is a time to reflect and ask yourself what you really want. What would truly satisfy you?” 31 years old I added a title to one of the articles.

In the note he shared with his 292 million followers, Bieber explained that he grew up in “a system that rewards my talent but does not always protect my soul.”
“There were moments when I felt like I was being used, that I was rushing, that I was turning into something that I couldn’t quite choose,” the star admitted. “That kind of pressure leaves scars that you can’t see on stage.”
“I was carrying anger,” Bieber wrote. “I asked God why. But Jesus continues to meet me in the midst of pain, not excusing the things that hurt me, but teaching me how not to be resentful.”

The “Love Song” artist made his debut with his 2009 EP “My World”. He was 15 years old. He rose to superstardom in 2010.
“I went through pain that shaped me before I could find the words to name it,” Bieber wrote. “I was in a system that took more than it protected. But I don’t speak as someone who is still broken; I speak as someone who Jesus has already healed.”
“What happened to me was real,” he explained. “But he doesn’t have the last word. Jesus didn’t just help me cope – He brought back my identity. I’m not a product. I’m not what the industry demands. I’m a son. Because I’m healed, I can forgive; not to excuse injustice, but to make sure it doesn’t reproduce itself through me.”

“I don’t want to burn down the music industry,” he stressed. “I want to see this made new, safer, more honest, more humane.”

In August 2024, Bieber and his wife, model Hailey Baldwin Bieber, welcomed their first child, named Jack Blues Bieber. The couple got married in 2018. He has previously spoken about his struggles with childhood fame.

Bieber wrote on social media: “Jesus didn’t heal me just for me. He healed me so I could help change what once hurt me… I didn’t come out of this situation unaffected. I grew up in a system that took more than it protected. The pain was real, but it no longer defined me. Jesus does… I still don’t speak as a bleeding victim, I speak as someone who has been healed.”

Bieber shared similar sentiments in another Instagram post; these included two selfies accompanied by an emoji of two people embracing.

“I can forgive because I am healed,” he wrote. “I don’t want to pretend the injustice didn’t happen, but don’t let it continue to live through me. I don’t want revenge. I want redemption.”
