K. Annamalal’s roadshow energises NDA campaign in Kannur

A massive roadshow led by former IPS officer and BJP National Executive member K. Annamalai boosted NDA candidate C. Raghunath’s election campaign by transforming Kannur city into a hub of political activity on Friday, April 3, 2026.
The tour, which attracted attention with its vehicle convoy, band performance and large participation of party workers and supporters, passed through important parts of the city before ending at the old bus stop. The event attracted enthusiastic crowds, reflecting the growing campaign momentum in the constituency.
Addressing the meeting, Mr. Annamalai said people in Kerala were looking for change and emphasized the need for a government focused on prosperity and development, in line with the policies of the Government of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Stating that Kannur also needs a political change, he urged voters to elect Mr. Raghunath. Many leaders including UT Jayanthan, PK Velayudhan, KK Vinodkumar, Bindu Krishna, Azad Sashidaran and other leaders were part of the roadshow.
Mr. Annamalai, who arrived at Kannur International Airport earlier in the day, was welcomed by party leaders. The campaign session, which started near Elayavoor temple in the evening, passed through various places, including Elayavoor South ration shop, Mutolampara, Nunjikkavu, SN College and other places, before culminating in a public meeting in Thottada town.
The campaign will continue on Saturday, April 4, in the evening, starting near CP Stores in Kappad. The parade will pass through Mathrubhumi stop, Thillanur, Periangalayi, Elayavoor Colony and other places before ending in Thayyil town.
