Heat conditions intensify in Telangana, Adilabad records highest temperature of 44.5℃ on May 15

According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), a total of six districts recorded maximum temperatures of 44°C or above on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Bhoraj in Adilabad district emerged as the hottest place in the state, recording a maximum temperature of 44.5°C. This was followed by Asifabad (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad), Bheemgal (Nizamabad) with 44.3°C; 44.1°C in Mutharam (Peddapalli) and 44°C in Mallapur (Jagtial) and Kuntala (Nirmal).

The regions where temperatures were recorded between 43°C and 44°C were 43.9°C in Enkuru (Khammam), Kasipet (Mancherial) and Kattangoor (Nalgonda); 43.5°C in Veenavanka (Karimnagar); 43.3°C in Kamalapur (Hanumakonda); 43.2°C in Maddur (Siddipet); 43.1°C in Penpahad (Suryapet) and 43°C in Regonda (Jayshankar Bhupalpally).

The regions where temperatures were recorded between 42°C and 43°C were 42.9°C in Lingal (Nagarkurnool); 42.7°C in Julurpad (Bhadradri Kothagudem), Vemulawada (Rajanna Sircilla) and Maheshwaram (Rangareddy); 42.5°C Jadcherla (Mahabubnagar), Uppal (Medchal Malkajgiri), Peddamandadi (Wanaparthy) and Choutuppal (Yadadri Bhuvangiri); 42.4°C in Nampally (Hyderabad) and Gandhari (Kamareddy); 42.3°C at Ghattu (Jogulamba Gadwal); 42.2°C in Mallampally (Mulugu); 42.1°C in Jangaon (Jangaon) and 42°C in Garla (Mahabubabad).

Areas where temperatures were recorded below 42°C were 41.8°C in Duggondi (Warangal); 41.5°C in Narsingi (Medak); 41.1°C in Damaragidda (Narayanpet); 41°C in Gummadidala (Sangareddy) and 40.7°C in Kulkacherla (Vikarabad).
