Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar surpassed the lifetime earnings of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara to become the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 after Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Part 1 and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.

Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, became a true blockbuster. The spy thriller starring Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R Madhavan sparked an intense social media frenzy fueled by roaring response from the audience and viral reels. Despite its long running time of over three and a half hours, the film won the hearts of the audience with its gripping storytelling, powerful performances, explosive music and on-point cast.
In the first ten days, Dhurandhar earned a nett of Rs 364.60 crore in India and grossed Rs 552.70 crore worldwide. According to initial estimates by entertainment streaming portal Sacnilk, the spy thriller continued its successful run and collected around Rs 29 billion on Monday (December 15). The total earnings of the film currently stands at over Rs 394 Million nett in India and Rs 585 Million worldwide.
Thus, the Aditya Dhar directorial surpassed Saiyaara’s lifetime earnings and became the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 after Kantara Part 1 and Chhaava. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer Saiyaara had minted Rs 579 crore worldwide. Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Part 1 and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava grossed Rs 807 crore and Rs 852 crore respectively at the global box office.
The Dhurandhar directorial revolves around Ranveer Singh’s Indian undercover intelligence asset Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who assumes the identity of Hamza Ali Mazari and infiltrates the Pakistani underworld in Lyari, Karachi, to break the nexus between gangsters, terrorists and politicians. The narrative is based on real-life events, drawing from events such as the hijacking of IC-814, the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
The sequel, Dhurandhar Part 2: Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, will be released in theaters on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Eid celebrations. Yash is expected to clash at the box office with pan-India gangster drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Courseshi. Action drama Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap, is also scheduled to release on the same date.
