Kangaroo cuisine causes consternation at uni canteen

An exotic dish caused a stir in a university canteen in Germany: kangaroo pepper.
The dish was recently served with basmati rice at a university canteen in Erlangen, Bavaria, the Münchner Merkur newspaper reported Sunday.
Friedrich Alexander University’s communications department said the meal was generally very well received, although a few guests at the property asked for confirmation to make sure the dish was indeed kangaroo meat.
The newspaper also quoted the university as saying, “Approximately 400 planned portions were sold and we received a lot of positive feedback.”
A user on social platform Reddit posted an excerpt from the menu with the title “When the canteen goes into retry phase.”
Users commented on its taste.
“I highly recommend Kangaroo, it tastes so good,” one person wrote.
Just below came the opposite opinion: “Kangaroo meat tastes disgusting.”
