Karnataka issues draft rules to fix cinema ticket prices at ₹200 in State

On Friday, September 12, 2025, the Karnataka government issued draft rules in all the theaters in the state, including multiplexes, except for all taxes.

However, multi -screen cinemas with 75 or less premium facilities are exempt from the maximum ticket price limit.

The change is followed by a draft notification published on July 15, 2025 by changing the rules of Karnataka Cinemas (control).
