Security forces nab seven militants in Manipur, recover arms and drugs

A police officer said militants were arrested from Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur and Kakching. They belong to the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA)/the Front of the Revolutionary People (RPF).
Pla is one of the oldest militant groups in Manipur. With its political wing RPF, it is mostly active in the Imphal Valley region.
The arrested militants were involved in hiring young people for RPF/PLA. They were also mediating in credit rescue cases through usurp and intimidation of people and government officials.
