Kejriwal hails bypoll wins as ‘semi-final to 2027’; says Gujarat fight between AAP, BJP

Arvind Kejriwal, Chief of AAM AADMi Party (AAP), described the party’s performance in Gujarat and Punjab BY-PASLS on June 23, 2025 as a semi-final for 2027, and a clear sign that the voters will reject both BJP and Congress.

Mr. Kejriwal, who criticized the congress, claimed that the party was working hand in hand with BJP. “This by-Pasls showed how the congress leadership helps BJP only helping AAP. Congress has become BJP’s Kathputli (puppet).

Pointing to the political orbit of AAP in Gujarat, Mr. Kejriwal said, “We won Visavadar in February 2022, but MLA then joined BJP. Today we won Visavadar and Ludhiana West with almost twice the margins.

He congratulated Mr. Kejriwal, Mr. Italia and Mr. Arara and pointed out that the war in the twin victories is now directly between AAP and BJP.

The celebrations exploded in the AAP center in Delhi, where party workers distributed and raised slogans, and called on the results of the expected political change until the 2027 elections.
