Kerala BJP pitches welfare push and big-ticket infrastructure in 2026 poll manifesto

The Kerala BJP’s manifesto outlines a series of welfare and infrastructure promises ahead of the 2026 elections. A “Bhakshya Arogya Suraksha” card is being proposed for economically weak women, offering a monthly top-up of Rs 2,500 to meet their medicine and food needs.
The document, released by the party’s state president Nitin Nabin, also promises to set up an AIIMS in Kerala and develop a high-speed rail corridor connecting Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur.

The party promises two free LPG cylinders a year to poor families on Onam and Christmas, among other measures.
