Chief Minister Pinrayi Vijayan said Sreenivasan’s demise is an irreplaceable loss for Malayalam cinema. A remarkable talent who excelled in every aspect of filmmaking is now gone. Very few filmmakers have managed to portray the essence of the common man on the big screen, engaging the audience with humor and thought-provoking moments. Sreenivasan has made his mark in cinema by breaking many long-standing stereotypes.

Superstar Rajinikanth paid a heartfelt tribute to Sreenivasan, describing him as “an excellent actor and a very good human being”. “I was shocked to hear about the passing away of my dear friend Sreenivasan. We were classmates at the Film Institute and he was truly a remarkable actor and a wonderful human being. May his soul rest in peace.”

Actor Mammootty expressed his deep condolences over Sreenivasan’s death. Sreenivasan was an extraordinary talent as an actor, screenwriter and director and his contribution to Malayalam cinema will be remembered forever. The actor said that Sreenivasan had a profound impact on his life and career and they worked together for many years in the Malayalam film industry.

Actor Mohanlal expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Sreenivasan and described him as someone who had a unique perspective on cinema and life. He shared that he tried to visit him recently, but could not go because Sreenivasan was in intensive care after his leg surgery.
