Bombshell poll shows hard-left Green Party’s Zack Polanski could becom | Politics | News

Pollster Martin Baxter has released a bombshell historic prediction for the big byelection night in Gorton and Denton.
The founder of Electoral Calculus explained in an interview with GB News that the latest “survey” national voter intent data shows that for the first time a Green Party leader, in this case far-left firebrand Zack Polanski, has a percentage chance of becoming Prime Minister of Great Britain.
Mr Baxter outlined how the two-party system Britain had experienced for more than 150 years was coming to an end, and polls now show Parliament will be divided by up to five political parties vying for control at the next general election and possibly the elections after that.
In such a scenario, the ability of political parties to form coalitions is vital, compared to the strong single-party governments the UK has voted in for much of its democratic history.
He said of his last poll: “Reform is ahead, if there was a general election they could get about three hundred seats. And the other four parties could all get about fifty, sixty, seventy seats. So there might have to be a Reform-Conservative coalition here.”
“The interesting thing is that the Green Party is on the rise. We think that if there were a general election tomorrow, they could get 56 seats.
“And for the first time in the history of these polls, Green Party leader Zack Polanski has a percentage chance of becoming the next Prime Minister to lead a centre-left coalition with the Greens, the largest party on the centre-left.
“They could get up to 107 seats, and if Labor and the Liberal Democrats get fewer – but together they could get to 300 – then it’s possible.”
He added: “Betting markets say there’s a two to three per cent chance of Zack Polanski becoming the next Prime Minister.”
After the polls closed early on Thursday, Mr. Baxter made a prediction about how the by-election would turn out.
“There’s a very interesting and slightly unusual seat in Manchester,” he said, noting it was Labour’s 38th safest seat in the general election.
But “it appears to be under threat,” he added.
“Labour could lose the seat tonight,” Mr Baxter continued. “We’ll have to see… It’s a big change, another big change, and maybe for that we should have a minute’s silence for the death of the old model of British politics.
“Over the last 150 years, the dominant parties in this country have been Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Party.
“And it looks like tonight these parties will get less than 50 percent of the vote combined.”
