Kia targets 3.35 million vehicle sales in 2026 after narrowly missing 2025 goal

SEOUL, Jan 5 (Reuters) – South Korean automaker Kia Corp said on Monday it aims to increase global vehicle sales to 3.35 million units in 2026, up about 4.2% from last year’s sales target.

In a separate regulatory filing, Kia said it sold 3.14 million vehicles in 2025, slightly below its target of 3.22 million units.

Kia said in a statement that it maintained global sales growth last year despite the uncertain industry environment, including the impact of US tariffs.

The automaker said it is focused on increasing sales of hybrid vehicles in the U.S. and is strengthening its position in Europe through higher electric vehicle volumes.

For this year, Kia said it aims to maintain its sales momentum and strengthen its presence in the global market by expanding its hybrid lineup for key sport utility vehicle (SUV) models, including the Telluride and Seltos, while also increasing production and strengthening the sustainability of its global supply chain.
