Trump to be hosted by King at Windsor for second state visit

Buckingham Palace, Donald Trump’s King III. Charles said he officially accepted an invitation for an unprecedented second state visit to him and Queen Camilla.

The US president will be accompanied by his wife First Lady Melania Trump for the trip, which will take place between 17 and 19 September and will be hosted at Windsor Castle.

The location of the state visit was selected as Buckingham Palace, a typical place, and continues to renew.

Trump, II. Elizabeth hosted the first state visit during his first term of office in 2019.

Traditionally, the second term presidents were not offered a state visit and instead was invited to tea or lunch.

A complete event program has not yet been announced, but like all such visits, it will include a full ceremony and a state feast at the St George’s Hall in Windsor Castle.

All senior members of the royal family will take place, including the prince and princess of the Wales living in the land of the castle.

French President Emmanuel Macron hosted by the king in Windsor last week and pointed out that a state visit in Berkshire housing for more than a decade was made for the first time.

Macron and his wife participated in a transport regiment through the town of Brigitte De Windsor.

Any visit from a US President brings IT security difficulties and Trump’s program is unlikely to include the public -looking events.

During the 2019 visit, there was no regiment during the shopping center for security reasons, and Trump often flew between places instead of traveling.

It is also unclear whether Trump has the opportunity to talk to parliamentarians in the choreography of a state visit.

The House of Commons will not sit during Trump’s visit to the party conference season – but the Lords House will be at the session.

In February, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer presented Trump a letter from the King to visit the White House.

Sitting side by side at the Oval Office, Trump said it was a “great, great honor”: “And that’s in Windsor – this is really something.”

The state’s visit will come a few months after the King visited Canada, where he opened the country’s parliament to mark the official beginning of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s leadership.

Many Canadians saw the King’s two -day visit to Otawa in May as a symbol of support to the country after bringing tariffs to one of Trump’s largest trade partners and threatening to make the 51th US state.

The charm of a state visit for Trump has the potential to be a powerful soft diplomacy tool against a president, a fiery monarchist by the British government.

In April, he spoke and said: “I respect a friend of Charles, King Charles and the family, William. We really respect the family.”

The invitation came because Sir Keir tried to influence Trump through the war in Ukraine and to reduce the tariffs given to the UK to the UK – both issues continued to dominate the so -called private relationship.

The US president is expected to be in Scotland later in this month to open the new golf field in Aberdeenshire.

It was initially thought that the King and Trump would meet unofficially during this journey.

However, it is understood that there are logistics difficulties surrounding the dates and there will be no special meeting before the visit of September.
