Mark Sanchez arrest: Former quarterback booked at Marion County Jail in first appearance since stabbing

Mark Sanchez is out of the hospital. The former quarterback appeared at the Marion County Jail on Sunday to be fingerprinted and have his mug shot taken. It was his first public appearance since he was arrested and charged with a felony and multiple misdemeanors in a stabbing.
Sanchez, who was stabbed during an argument with a truck driver, appeared in pain as he cautiously entered the building. According to Fox 59’s Max Lewis, in order to leave Indianapolis, Sanchez had to appear to have his fingerprints and mug shot taken.
Sanchez needed help removing his jacket and items from his pockets before going through the metal detector at the prison. When he took off his jacket, Sanchez’s right arm could be seen in the sling. Security footage of Sanchez after the fight appeared to show him being stabbed in the right side.

Sanchez pleaded not guilty to the charges Thursday. The next hearing date was set for November 4.
Sanchez was arrested in early October after a fight with the 69-year-old grease truck driver. Sanchez allegedly told the man he couldn’t park his car in the alley, a police file said. When the man tried to reach for his phone to verify, Sanchez reportedly stopped him.
The incident turned physical. Fearing for his life, the man sprayed Sanchez with pepper spray. The quarterback managed to shake off the spray and charged the man. That’s when the man pulled out his knife and stabbed Sanchez multiple times.
Both men were taken to hospital following the incident. It was reported that the truck driver was discharged from the hospital, but was seriously injured.
