Stereophonics cancels Australian tour
Welsh indie rock legends Stereophonic we were forced to cancel upcoming Australian Tour. Vocalist Kelly Jones doesn’t elaborate on why or how this happens, but she does have a misaligned jaw joint, but she assures us it’s not from singing! He’s not yet medically cleared to fly, so he’ll be sitting out this time. He also canceled shows in Dubai, but his British tour later this year will still go ahead.
Kelly in a heartfelt post on the band’s official Instagram account. wrote:
‘I have never canceled more than four shows in 30 years and I hope you can trust that this decision was not taken lightly.’
In major capital cities, start dates would be in late October 2025 and refunds can be made at the point of purchase.
Jones reminded fans that there are 13 albums in the band’s back catalog to round them out, and encouraged us all to do so. “spin the black circle until next time”.
I wish Kelly good health and a speedy recovery and hope to see them on our shores again soon.
American Country star Teddy Swims in NRL Grand Final
Fox Sports he asked:

It really depends on who you ask. Fox Sports was singing its praises, but overall I’m not so sure. The more I look at these events and the online responses to them, the more it seems that the organizers will be damned if they do, and damned if they don’t. It almost doesn’t matter who they book for pre-match entertainment at the grand final; divide right in the middle.

Netflix will broadcast Spotify video podcasts
Netflix has reportedly signed a deal with Spotify and some podcast creators to make their video-enhanced podcasts available on the Netflix platform. This is great news for creators looking to gain a larger audience for their work.
But I have to ask, what is the purpose? Doesn’t this mean further consolidation of the media landscape and reducing the overall selection of content? Of course, there are still miles of content available for consumption all over the internet, but this seems like an unnecessary move to my way of thinking. Keep audio programs on one platform and videos on another. It is a reflection of changing audience tastes. A recent study by US-based audio company Cumulus Media suggests that: 72 percent A large percentage of podcast listeners prefer their podcasts with video. But I am not one of them, because I believe there is a true art to creating engaging audio programming without needing to add the vision of talking heads to the mix…
New Young Jesus
Canberra-based group Young Jesus and Jean Introductions They are getting ready to release their second album called ‘.Glory‘ 7 November. This follows the massive success of their 2023 debut ‘I love you‘They reached #6 in the ARIA Album Charts and won the ARIA awards for Best Breakthrough Artist in 2024. The new album was recorded on the NSW Central Coast with the three-time GRAMMY Award-winning London-based producer. Catherine Marks (boy, Wolf Alice) and sees the group display renewed confidence; They have full ownership of their voice and vision of who they are and what they represent.
Latest singles, ‘Bait’, It is said that he is in the group “Big ego, full threat mode”. Of course, the dark and brooding atmosphere pushes into new musical territory for the band. It’s great to see them take their music to scary and unfamiliar places.

It saddens me to have to announce that you are a founding member. KISSSpaceman, Paul’AceFrehley’s passed away 74 years old, from cerebral hemorrhage.
At least when I was a music listener, when I discovered them in the late 1980s, KISS was extremely uncool. By then, they had ceased to be founding fathers and became muses of LA hair metal bands. Colorful Crue and Poison, but competing with them for air time and concert ticket sales. They had gone from legendary to just another long-haired heavy metal band.
I didn’t care what was beautiful anyway. I cared about what sounded good to me on the guitar, what was challenging but also attainable. Ace had a style and voice that resonated with me. There was a real work of art in the way he composed the chords and notes he played. His inspiration was profound, at least for me.
Thanks for the music, Ace. I will miss you very much.
