Konda Surekha Reviews Preparations For Inavolu Mallanna Jatara

-Warangal: Endowments minister Konda Surekha has directed officials to ensure a hassle-free and successful experience for devotees at the Inavolu Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Jatara to be held from January 13.
Addressing the review meeting held at the Collectorate conference hall in Hanamkonda on Saturday, Konda Surekha directed the Electricity Department to ensure 24-hour uninterrupted power supply and instructed RTC officials to operate additional buses, especially for those going to Komuravelli and Medaram.
He also emphasized the need for immediate repair of roads and the need for R&B and Police departments to set up barricades to safely manage crowds. Sanitation and health emerged as top priorities during the review.
The minister ordered deputation of additional personnel from neighboring panchayats to maintain cleanliness around the clock. He also called for the establishment of mobile toilets, women-only facilities and 24/7 medical camps equipped with 108 ambulances.
To ensure security and order, the minister directed the Police Department to deploy women officers to protect women devotees and install CCTV cameras to monitor areas of suspicious activity. Konda Surekha also tasked the Excise Department to prevent the sale of illegal liquor during Jatara. For the convenience of devotees, the Tourism Department will install LED screens showing the importance of Jatara along with various cultural programmes.
After inspection, the minister along with the MLA and the collector officially released the posters of Inavolu Jatara. He urged all officials to work in coordination and stay connected through a private WhatsApp group to monitor the situation in real time. The minister stated that the government is ready to provide incentives to departments that have performed exceptionally well in making the Jatara a peaceful and grand success.
Wardhannapet MLA KR Nagaraju, District Collector Sneha Shabarish, GWMC Commissioner Chahat Bajpai and officials from various departments were also present.
