Labour deputy hopeful Powell attacks welfare ‘errors’

Lucy Powell, the leadership competitor who was expelled by Sir Keir Starmer in the cabinet reorganization, criticized the government’s “forced mistakes” about prosperity.

In his first publication interview since he was abolished, BBC said that Nick Robinson has been trying to reduce disability aids and that winter fuel payments questioned voters “who we’re on the side”.

He called on the leaders of the party to be clearer in the desire to scrape the benefit limit with two children and to exit from the “defense crouch” on this issue.

And he returned to the allegations that the leadership proposal was a “proxy” for the leadership proposal of Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham or Energy Secretary Ed Miliband.

Powell is running against Angela Rayner’s former cabinet colleague Bridget Phillipson in the competition as the leader of Labor’s leader.

He has long rejected the speculation that Andy Burnham has been trying to pave the way for the leadership proposal as a “classic Westminster bubble obsession”.

Manchester Central praised Burnham as a “great politician” and a communicator, but he said that it was “sexist” and “wrong” to suggest that the workers’ members want to be replaced as the leader of Sir Keir Starmer.

Manchester Central deputy, “There are two strong women standing in an open and transparent competition.” He said.

“And instead of talking about two strong women, everyone speaks about the war between the two men, it’s a very honest, I find it a kind of sexist, but it is also completely wrong.”

Manchester Mayor cannot stand as the leader of the worker because he is not a deputy, but there are speculations he can try to return to Westminster in an election.

Nick Robinson also suggested that Powell could act as a proxy for Ed Miliband, who led to the defeat of the Labor Party in the 2015 general elections if he decided to wait again.

Powell, the former chief staff of Miliband, told Robinson: “Everyone who knows me knows that I’m not a power of attorney. I am.

“I am a very independent, strong -minded, effective politician on my own.”

He said that Sir Keir could be dismissed as a joint leader because they do not want to hear how deeply against the welfare deductions of the deputies.

If the leader was elected, he said he would be a “channel” for the landscapes of the members, and that he would tell Sir Keir to “when we misunderstand things”.

While Nick Robinson talked to political thought with his podcast, he added that he did not want to ask for a cabinet if he succeeds, and that Sir Keir would be “really clear” that David Lammy would be changed to Rayner’s Deputy Prime Minister.

As “full -time leader”, he said he would aim to close the gap between party members and leadership.

Starting the proposal of the leadership, Phillipson called on the Labor Party to remain united and called for a second period in the government.

“I will not claim that this government did not make mistakes – I admitted for the first time,” Sunderland said.

“But we can’t afford to look in it – return to the bad old days of the divided Labor Party and the open old wounds.

“If we turn against each other, only one person wins – Nigel Farage – but millions of people will lose.”
