KTR Calls SIT Probe of KCR a Diversionary Tactic

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday termed former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s questioning by the SIT as a clear example of the Congress government being “distracted” after its failure to secure anything significant in the Union Budget. He expressed hope that the wiretapping investigation had reached its final stages.

Addressing the media at Chandrashekar Rao’s residence in Nandinagar, the former minister termed the SIT interrogation as “distraction, subversion and perversion”. Accusing both Congress and BJP MPs of not influencing the Union Budget, he said this reflected the ineffectiveness of Telangana’s “eight plus eight” representation in Parliament.

Listing out what he called the failures of the Congress government, Rama Rao cited Saturday’s shooting incident in Koti, the killing of a woman police officer by ganja smugglers and alleged mismanagement in the Sammakka-Sarakka jatara as examples of incompetence. “Instead of focusing on management, those at the helm prefer to divert attention. While selective leaks about the SIT investigation are being made available to the media from time to time, Revanth Reddy is traveling the world to fulfill his ambitions,” he alleged.
