Kurnool bus fire accident: Gadwal Govt Hospital sends medical team, hospital on standby for emergency admissions

The Government General Hospital (GGH) in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwal district has dispatched a medical team to assist in emergency response efforts following the fatal bus accident that took place in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district in the early hours of Friday, October 24, 2025.

To talk HinduGGH Gadwal Superintendent Indira said that no injured person has been brought to Gadwal hospital so far, but a team from Gadwal Medical College was immediately sent to the accident scene to support the ongoing rescue and treatment operations. Dr. “Our medical team went to Kurnool immediately after learning about the accident. The five-member team includes a general surgeon, a general medical specialist and a deputy administrative commissioner, along with other support staff. They traveled with an ambulance and all necessary equipment,” Indira said.

He added that the hospital in Gadwal is fully prepared to accommodate and treat any emergency case whenever required. “We are ready with all our resources to care for any patient who can be referred here,” he said.

The accident site is around 65 kilometers from Gadwal and hospital authorities are in constant communication with medical teams and administrators at Kurnool Medical College. Dr. “We are coordinating with doctors there, including plastic surgeons and orthopedic specialists, to assess whether any patient needs to be shifted here,” Indira said.

Providing an update on the condition of the injured, she said, “Four people are stable as per the information we received from Kurnool Medical College. Six passengers who escaped without injuries have already left for their native places.”
