Labor invites content creators to budget again — with conditions

The Labor government will once again invite “content creators” to the 2026 budget lock-in despite controversy over its decision to invite them – and in some cases, cover your expenses — podcasters, content creators, and news “influencers” last year. However, this time it seems that new conditions will emerge.

In an email seen by cricketChancellor of the Exchequer Jim Chalmers and Minister of the Exchequer Katy Gallagher are inviting “content creators and digital journalists” to submit expressions of interest, including a “short content proposal”.
