Pax Silica Snub

According to ANI, ‘Pax Silica’ is the US State Department’s flagship initiative on artificial intelligence and supply chain security, which aims to create a common economic security framework among allies and trusted partners.

According to the US State Department, the initiative aims to create a silicon supply chain that includes critical minerals and energy inputs, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence infrastructure and logistics.

The initiative also aims to reduce coercive dependencies, protect materials and capabilities critical to AI, and enable compatible nations to develop and use transformative technologies at scale.

The group is led by the United States and includes Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Australia; A group that India is particularly absent from.

Prime Minister Modi-Trump Phone Call

Prime Minister Modi had a telephone conversation with US President Trump last week and both leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.

After the phone call, Prime Minister Modi wrote on the X channel: “We had a very warm and interesting conversation with President Trump. We reviewed the progress in our bilateral relations and discussed regional and international developments. India and the USA will continue to work together for global peace, stability and prosperity.”

According to IANS, Trump said last month that he planned to visit India soon and praised Prime Minister Modi as a “great man” and a “friend”.
