Labour accused of new ‘outright attack on rural Britain’ | Politics | News

Farmers are afraid that the Labor Party has returned to the manifesto hostage to ensure that the public sector purchases the British. The rural alliance warned that farmers’ new food strategy did not determine how the public wallet can be used to increase British agriculture.

When rural communities embrace inheritance tax changes and need certainty and support, the labor force is accused of returning to farmers by conservatives.

David Bean from the rural Alliance said: “For half of the food purchased and served through Labor’s public sector, the target produced for local, British or higher environmental standards was one of the most promising things in the manifesto last year. It is a real disappointing opportunity to publish a food strategy that was completely ignored, and for the Farmers and Food Producers.

“Products are the best in the world and both them and public service users deserve to serve as much as possible. When the worker gave this hostage, he knew that it was a local aspect that attracted voters.

“The British rightly value the provence of local foods, we rely on the quality and we want to support people who work hard to produce it. This is where we need to see delivery.”

The National Farmer Union has created a series of concerns about the strategy, President Tom Bradshaw “Farm Work trust is at the lowest level of all time”. He is worried that there is a lack of understanding that farms should be profitable to be successful.

The rural alliance argues that the government is a powerful leverage to buy and serve more British food, to support our food and agriculture sector. Local purchasing commitment can help overcome difficulties such as “obesity, diet risks, environmental sustainability, resistance and food safety”.

The campaign group says that at a time when farmers are concerned about the increase in the inheritance taxes of many agricultural families, they deserve to be ı the full weight of the public sector behind ..

Shadow Environmental Secretary Victoria Atkins said: “The word of the Labor Party to make half of all the food purchased through the public sector to the local, British or high standard was one of the commitments, but now they are quietly throwing.

“The worker speaks a good game, but his actions tells a different story. They could not protect rural communities and are moving with a disastrous family farm tax. A open attack on the future of rural Britain, nurturing our nation and British farming.

“Conservatives will withstand rural Britain by protecting family farms, supporting local products and providing real food safety. Labor cannot be trusted to support our farmers.”

Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Department spokesperson said: ız Our commitment to farmers and food producers is determined, so we want our farmers to take a fair share for a year of £ 5 billion for public sector catering agreements.

“Our interchangeable food strategy will allow our food system to continue to feed the country, to realize the potential of economic growth, to protect the planet and to feed on the future and to feed individuals.”
