Trump says U.S. operation captured Venezuela’s president Nicolas Maduro

The United States carried out a large-scale attack in Venezuela, resulting in the capture and removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, US President Donald Trump said on Saturday.
In his statement to Truth Social, Trump said that Maduro and his wife were captured and removed from the country following the operation carried out in coordination with US law enforcement. No further details were given.
A news conference is planned for 11 a.m. at Mar-a-Lago.
