Labour’s latest attacks show why Starmer’s government is rotten to the core | Politics | News

This thoroughly rotten Labor Government absolutely reeks of desperation. His vile, sustained and vicious attack on Reform MP Sarah Pochin this week has gone beyond hysterical even by the standards of the Left.
Labor MPs shouted, “Reform is not suitable for governance.” “Farage’s deafening silence.” “Remove the whip.” You may think that the woman actually killed someone, or at least committed a crime, broke some law; This is something Labor MPs do with monotonous regularity. But no, what Pochin was actually doing – even though he clumsily used the words – was pointing out an inescapable truth that alarms advertisers who over-represent black and Asian people in their ads, fearful of being branded racist or accused of not adhering to diversity policies.
And that fact has come to light thanks to new data from an agency called Tapestry, which examined the top 500 commercials on television and found that more than 51% featured black people despite making up just 4% of the population, 17% featured South Asians, who make up just 8% of the population, and 11% featured East Asians, who make up just 1% of the population.
And these are facts that have not escaped anyone’s attention lately. In fact, if I had a pound for every time someone commented about the over-representation of certain minorities in TV adverts over the past two years, I’d be a millionaire. Like it or not, people have noticed and are talking about it.
But in Labour’s la-la-land, if you dare mention a phenomenon involving blacks and Asians, they will instantly scream racism, whatever the context. Let me tell you what is racist; this Government is voting against a national inquiry into Pakistani Muslim grooming gangs accused of raping and torturing white girls. They call the victims liars for calling out their racism.
What is also racist is the Government’s complete inaction on the antisemitism that is poisoning our streets and spreading throughout the government.
But back to Pochin. He was a guest on a radio show when a bookmaker called to talk about the over-representation of black and Asian people in TV adverts and asked Pochin for his opinion (to hear Sol, you’d think he’d start publicly shouting about it out of nowhere).
His mistake was to say: “Yes, this is driving me crazy.” Clumsy and stupid were the words used to describe an actual fact, but it also made some very valid points; One of them was that TV ads did not fully reflect our society. And he’s right. They don’t.
And as a senior advertising boss pointed out yesterday, this is because black and Asian people have been underrepresented in advertising for years, and so, quite rightly, the advertising industry has set out to fix this. But as he said, they massively overcorrected it and did it all at the same time, so it became very noticeable; A situation indicated by the latest data.
It also noted that ads underrepresented people with disabilities, who appeared in only 4% of ads despite making up 18% of the population; but no one is screaming about it.
It is not racist to say that blacks and Asians are overrepresented in TV commercials in terms of population; This is a verifiable fact. Are we no longer allowed to quote facts or data in Labour’s totalitarian state? Are we not allowed to say how things really are for fear of being called racist?
Labour’s hypocrisy is very high here. Did they call out Humza Yusef, the former first minister of Scotland, when he talked about there being too many white politicians and officials in Scotland? Did they call out Scottish Labor leader Anas Sarwar when he said too many civil servants in Scotland were white? No, they didn’t. In fact, Wes Streeting defended him. Yet he calls Sarah Pochin a racist and a disgrace.
Have they called out Sadiq Khan for saying there are too many white men in Transport for London and that “white families do not represent real Londoners”? No, they didn’t.
Did they call out actress Adjoa Andoh when she complained that the Buckingham Palace balcony at King Charles’ coronation was “horrifyingly white”? No, they definitely didn’t. Because racist insults against white people don’t count in Labour’s Britain.
We even got Health Secretary Streeting shouting in almost mock outrage: “We cannot allow one of the world’s most successful multi-religious, multi-cultural countries to return to the days when people walked the streets afraid of being harassed or attacked because of the way they looked or who they worshiped.”
Is he really kidding? What planet is the man on? Jews are afraid to walk our streets for fear of being attacked and killed. In fact, just a few weeks ago two people were murdered in Manchester.
There was a scary, masked Muslim gang ready to wreak havoc on the streets of London at the weekend as a UKIP march was taking place nearby. We never stopped the pro-Palestinian marches that instilled the fear of God not only in Jews but in everyone. We elected Muslim MPs who called for Jews to be banned from international football.
How does a multicultural society succeed? This is a disaster, a dangerous experiment gone horribly wrong.
For years we have allowed people to come here and live parallel lives practicing cultures and religions that are directly opposed to our values and traditions. We allowed these people to be in society but not be a part of it.
We have allowed women with caged faces and black robes on our streets to become second-class citizens. So does Streeting dare to say that we have one of the most successful multicultural countries in the world? The man is delusional, like everyone else in his hopeless government.
But this week they brought out every cabinet member, every MP, to cut Sarah Pochin into bloody pieces. And if they think the British public don’t understand what this is all about, then they are stupider than they look.
This is a clear attempt by a shaky, terrified, clueless government to discredit and smear a party that is crushing them at the polls and will drive them out of power at the next election (hopefully for decades).
And instead of worrying about the words a Reform MP chooses to tell a real truth, don’t you think they’ll focus on their budgets which will cripple hard-working people, the fact that they’ve completely lost control of our borders, crime is out of control, Miliband’s crazy policies are destroying jobs?
No, Labor wants you to forget all that and focus on what Sarah Pochin said about woke TV adverts and whether she used the right words to tell a real truth!
