Lakshadweep completes digitisation of SIR forms

According to an official statement, Lakshadweep completed 100% distribution and digitization of counting forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists on Friday. According to a statement issued by Electoral Registrar Shivam Chandra, the draft electoral roll will be published on December 9, 2025.

SIR of electoral rolls started on November 4, 2025 in Lakshadweep. Fifty-five booth-level officers (BLOs) on all 10 islands conducted house-to-house visits to distribute census forms and assisted voters in filling out the forms. It was stated that a total of 133 booth-level representatives appointed by political parties actively supported the counting process alongside BLOs.

The statement added that special camps were organized in designated areas on all islands to accelerate the collection and digitization of census forms.
