In total, Edwards had 32 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists, shooting 13-of-22 in the game.

This new format, in which the NBA tried to revive the All-Star Game, drove the Intuit Dome fans crazy with its play and quick finishes.

Two teams from the United States faced Team World in a two-round format, with four 12-minute games. Each team had at least eight players throughout the tournament in Los Angeles

In the first match between Team Stars and Team Stripes, San Antonio Spurs point guard De’Aaron Fox secured the victory with his game-winning three-pointer.

Then, Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes defeated Team World with a three-pointer in overtime.

Thus, Edwards advanced to the finals by defeating Team Stripes, which included Detroit Pistons’ Jalen Düren, Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker and Philadelphia 76ers’ Tyrese Maxey, Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, Houston Rockets’ Kevin Durant and hometown favorite Kawhi Leonard of the Clippers.

Team Stripes’ roster may have included future Hall of Famers, but in the end it was Team Stars who had more gas, and Team Stars were tired from previous games.
