Large cache of arms, explosives found in cave in Odisha forest

A large cache of explosives and weapons suspected to be hidden by Maoists were seized by security forces from a cave in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Sunday (November 16, 2025), police said.

It was stated that the seizure was carried out by BSF from a hill in Dulagundi forest in Kalimela police station area.

It was stated that weapons and explosives were detected during the scanning operation.

The seized items include a handmade directional mine, a gun, 110 gelatin sticks, electronic devices, 150 7.62 mm live cartridges, 170 empty firing cartridges, 10 blank cartridges, two 125-decibel electronic trumpets and a sensor.
