Ghaziabad to get new railway guard building with advanced features, here’s all you need to know

Construction of a modern railway security building at the new Ghaziabad railway station, the foundation stone of which was laid by Dr. MP from Jajpur, Odisha. It will start with him being bowled by Rabindra Narayan Behera. Representatives of the railway workers’ organization and many railway employees attended the event.

Facilities to be provided

The new building will be equipped with modern facilities, including a meeting room with a capacity of approximately 200 people, where security meetings, training programs and other department activities can be held. Additionally, the building will have better facilities for guards to stay, including a modern canteen. The construction of the building is carried out with the comfort and convenience of security personnel in mind.

Salary grade increase request

During the event, the Train Managers Council raised the issue of pay grade promotion for train managers, stating that despite receiving four promotions during their career, they were hired at the 2800 pay grade and retired at the 4200 pay grade. They demanded that they, like other employees, be given 4600 and 4800 salary grade promotions.

Deputy Dr. Rabindra Narayan Behera said railway guards are the backbone of railway operations and it is essential to provide them with modern facilities. He added that this building will set an example not only for Gajiyabad but also for the whole country.

The building, whose construction is expected to be completed within the stipulated time, will provide a modern, safe and comfortable environment for train managers.

City MLA Sanjeev Sharma lauded the initiative, saying it was a matter of pride for Ghaziabad to have a modern building for train managers across the country. He expressed confidence that the building will be completed soon and will benefit railway employees.
