King Charles has ‘profound concern’ over claims Andrew shared confidential reports with Epstein

Buckingham Palace said the King had publicly expressed his “deep concern” about allegations about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s behavior and would “stand ready to support” the police if they were contacted about the allegations.

Thames Valley Police said it was assessing allegations that Andrew shared secret reports with convicted pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein during his time as trade envoy.

The renewed crisis has engulfed both the monarchy and Westminster.

This has shown little sign of abating since U.S. authorities recently released millions of documents related to Epstein.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “The King has made clear through words and unprecedented actions his deep concern about the allegations that continue to come to light about Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct.

“Whilst the specific allegations in question are a matter for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if Thames Valley Police contact us we are ready to support them as you would expect.

“As already stated, His Majesty’s thoughts and sympathies have been and continue to be victims of all kinds of abuse.”

Thames Valley Police have so far not contacted the Palace over allegations that Andrew shared secret reports about his role as Britain’s trade envoy with Epstein.

The King was again embroiled in trouble over Andrew’s relationship with Epstein during his royal visit to Lancashire on Monday.

A man shouted at Charles as he met well-wishers at Clitheroe railway station in Lancashire: “How long did you know about Andrew and Epstein?”

Charles appeared unresponsive as members of the crowd booed the question.

Meanwhile, the Prince and Princess of Wales addressed the Epstein scandal publicly for the first time on Monday.

William and Kate said they were “deeply concerned” by the “ongoing revelations” and their thoughts were “focused on the victims”.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “I can confirm that the Prince and Princess of Wales are deeply concerned by the ongoing revelations.

“His thoughts are focused on the victims.”

The documents sparked allegations against William’s uncle Andrew and led police to launch an investigation into Lord Peter Mandelson for alleged misconduct in public office.

The allegations include allegations that a second woman was sent to England by pedophile Epstein to have sex with Andrew, and that the former prince and Epstein solicited an exotic dancer for a threesome at Epstein’s Florida home.
