Meghan Markle faces biggest ‘challenge’ yet as Princess Lilibet milestone | Royal | News

Lilibet is increasingly prominent in Meghan’s social media presence. The duchess was last seen with her mother when she posted a mirror selfie ahead of her trip to Geneva, Switzerland, for an event on children’s online safety.

Meghan branded Lilibet “mum’s little helper” as she showed her daughter in a red dress sitting next to her legs.

And just last week, Meghan talked about her family again in the promotional video for her song for her lifestyle brand As Ever, revealing that each family member has their own little piece.

Since her fourth birthday post last year, Meghan has mentioned or featured Lilibet at least 13 times on her personal Instagram page alone.

According to experts, this marks a clear shift in the strategy of showing off their children online.

Branding expert Megan Dooley, president of London-based TAL Agency, said: Daily Mail: “We’ve definitely seen a noticeable change in Meghan’s approach to featuring her children on public social media, especially when we compare this to Meghan and Harry’s previous commitment to privacy.

“However, upon closer inspection, these appearances appear to be highly selective and deliberate rather than casual and unplanned.”

Ms Dooley added that by allowing members of the public to see her family briefly, Meghan would be “more humanised” by the public and help her ease her distance from her clients.

But he warned: “As with all founder-led lifestyle brands, the risk is that audiences will become increasingly keen to spot family content that primarily serves the brand.

“Meghan’s challenge is making it feel effortless rather than designed.”
